Farm
6 animals
For iPhone and iPad
Eighteen animals, each with a real recording, a photo, and one line worth reading out loud. Play it to someone, hand it over, or work through the lot on your own.
Cows have best friends in the herd

These eight are what the app opens on.
Open a world and the player moves through it one animal at a time — swipe the photo, or tap a dot. Icelandic is the one worth staying for: puffins, arctic foxes, and a horse with an extra gait.

Every screen does one thing. Nothing to dismiss, nothing to sign into, and nothing that pulls you somewhere else.
The player shows one photo, one name, and one Play button. There is nothing else to tap by accident, and nothing to explain first.
One short line under each name. Sheep can remember 50 faces. Ravens copy the sounds they hear. Read it out or don't — you will pick up a few either way.
The app opens straight onto eight everyday animals. No menu to work through and nothing to sit out — the first sound is right there.
Play sound is a 56pt button spanning the full width under the photo. Small hands, gloves, or a phone held one-handed all land on it.
Tap the heart and the animal collects in Favorites. It is still there next time, whoever is holding the phone.
Sound and haptics are two switches. Turn sound off on the bus and the photos, names, and facts still work.
There is no signup and no advertising. After the download the app never makes a network request — every photo and recording is already on the device, so it works on a plane and in the back of a car.
Sound and haptics are the only two settings, and both live in one list.
